Script that will allow you to automate the process of installing Hyperv manager on a VIsta PC and server based on John Howard script... I'm just automating the rest of the process.

I installed Windows HyperV 2008 on a Dell (C series 8GB or RAM (1TB of space) QuaXeon 3.0). I wanted to install SBS 2008 and 3 diffrent desktops (XP, Linux, Vista) for my demo box of SBS 2008 and 2003. But the time came for me to try to managed it from my vista computer (new installation with all updates) I kept runing into some issues trying to access the HyperV manager from a vista computer on the network. after doing some research online I came across a tool HVRemote (http://code.msdn.microsoft.com/HVRemote ) writen by John Howard from the HyperV Team at MS, after trying it, I decided to make this process a littler more automated, I was able to sort of add more automation to the process, but still using John Howard's script.

This scripts allows you to automate the process of installing Hyperv manager on a VIsta PC and server. You must follow the structions set by John Howard. This scripts allow you to do the follwing:

1) Run Hvremote.swf to scan system
2) KB952627 is cluded to be installed
3) Edit hosts file
4) run command prompt with elevated permission

I hope you like it...

How to use this script:

1) Download the file
2) Unzip it to c:\ (make sure the folder is HVRemote)
3) Execute the Run.cmd file this will run in elevated mode to call the Menu.cmd file (This will present you with a menu to choose either client or server mode)
4) Select the option from the menu
5) Repeat steps on Server or Client.

Please note: This is my first post here, so if you run into any problems I rather you ask for help rather than critize my work. I'm taking time out my busy schedule to post this for everyone that's having issues getting Hyperv manager to communicate with HyperV server. John did a wonderful job by making this script, I'm just helping others automate the process a bit more. Thank you.
