Microsoft Message Queuing’s (MSMQ) integration with the Windows Communication Foundation (WCF) is extremely powerful. It enables MSMQ developers to write fault-tolerant, service-oriented applications and provides a robust extensibility model developers can use to improve any system’s capabilities – including MSMQ’s. In this video and corresponding sample we'll convert a System.Messaging application into a WCF Queuing application, enable that application to overcome MSMQ’s 4mb message size limitation with a prototype chunking channel, and integrate it seamlessly with existing MSMQ applications.

All-In-One Code Framework code-name CodeFx delineates the framework and skeleton of most Microsoft development techniques (e.g. COM, Data Access, IPC) using typical sample codes in different programming languages (e.g. Visual C#, VB.NET, Visual C++). For instance, the code example ATLDllCOMServer shows the skeleton of an ATL ActiveX DLL as its name implies. Each example is elaborately selected, composed, and documented to demonstrate one frequently-asked, tested or used scenario based on our experience as support engineers. If you are a software developer, you can fill the skeleton with blood, muscle and soul. If you are a software tester or a support engineer like us, you may extend the sample codes a little to fit your specific test scenario or refer your customer to this project if the customer's question coincides with what we collected.

Microsoft has introduced another tool for Rich Interactive Applications: Microsoft Silverlight. Often compared to Adobe Flash, Microsoft Silverlight is more than just a single component. For example, C# and VB-developers can utilize their knowledge of these programming languages and of the .NET Framework, while designers can utilize the surfaces of applications almost entirely independent from the application code. This example shows the realization of a possible business idea – from concept to the application code: collaboration support by means of a system and platform independent Whiteboard with Silverlight. Sometimes it is difficult to communicate ideas and problems among teams. This is particularly true when team members are in separate locations, and their communication is limited to phone and Internet. Using tools that aid in visualization will make communication borders obsolete. This sample shows a collaboration application with its technical background and architecture, which only requires a browser.
