All Resource Updates
Change History (all pages)
This sample illustrates the usage of the System.Identity domain with data taken from the SQL Server Northwind sample database. Specifically, the sample illustrates usage of the following System.Identity extents, focusing on the Parties of Northwind Traders' Sales department:
Kinds - the kinds of things that can have a unique Id, such as Organizations, People, Locations, Email addresses
Parties - the people of Northwind Traders' Sales department.
Employees - the people in their respective roles as employees of Northwind Traders.
IdentityKeys - identification of Sales department employees by both phone number and email.
Locations - Northwind Traders' office locations
PartyLocations - the office locations where members of the Northwind Traders' Sales department work.
PartyToPartyRelationships - the management structure of the Northwind Traders' Sales department.
This sample thus illustrates how to populate the System.Identity domain using the code name "M" language. The sample can also be compiled using the "M" tools and deployed into a SQL Server Modeling Services Repository database, allowing experimentation with the System.Identity domain from non-"M" clients such as T-SQL or ADO.NET.
