Vista Bridge License
Mar 30 2009 at 8:05 AM
Hello, I was wondering if anyone could help me with a license question for Vista Bridge. I am currently working on a commercial WPF application, what would be the implications of using part of the Vista Bridge library to help with dialog boxes? Is this license compatible with a commercial software license? I ask because of this section of the license:
(D) If you distribute any portion of the software in source code form, you may do so only under this license by including a complete copy of this license with your distribution. If you distribute any portion of the software in compiled or object code form, you may only do so under a license that complies with this license.
If not then how is this library meant to be used? As a learning resource only? Many Thanks.

This only means that you can't put your work (which includes parts of the software under Ms-Pl) under a license that is not compatible with Ms-Pl (such as GPL).
