WebProfile versus ProfileCommon
May 6 2008 at 3:55 AM
I just performed my first Web Site to Web App conversion, and I very much appreciated the discussion and development effort of the Web Profile Builder tool. I've downloaded the docs and the examples. Good stuff.
My question is: One of the advantages of Profiles in the first place is being able to reference them by "Profile.xxxxx". Since ProfileCommon is generated on the fly on a web SITE and not generated at all in web APP, why not duplicate the generated code, ie, reproduce ProfileCommon? I also noticed that WebProfile is not inheriting ProfileBase as ProfileCommon does.
Please enlighten me as to the finer points I'm missing. There's gotta be something else missing preventing ProfileCommon from being reproduced(?)

I have exactly the same questions and would really appreciate an answer if anybody has one. Thanks!
