Description:

This sample gives you a fully functional logon dialog for client applications that integrated with Windows Live ID and Live Framework. The dialog has support for remembering the username, password and will store the information in an encrypted manner for security.

Information:

There is a lack of good examples on how to authenticate with Windows Live ID and the Windows Live ID Client SDK from Microsoft is currently not compatible with Windows Live Framework. The UI of the Microsoft SDK is not the best and you would perhaps want to include your own custom UI.



Windows Live Photo Gallery, Windows Live Mail, Windows Live Messenger, Live Mesh and other desktop applications provide their own UI for Windows Live ID logon. Here is a sample that allows you to quickly and easily add the same logon dialog to your own application.

The provided sample includes resources in English and Norwegian language.

Purpose of the Windows Live ID Logon Dialog is not to make an API that you use but instead take the project and included source code and embed that into your own applications.
