Adding more prerequisites
Mar 23 2010 at 4:46 PM
could anyone please explain with more detail how to include more pre-requisites in the list dialog populated when you try to add one?
Following the information in the 3rd part of the Walkthrough: http://windowsclient.net/wpf/wpf35/wpf-35sp1-client-profile-config-part3.aspx
the prerequisites displayed in the dialog are populated from three locations:
The current user’s "Documents\Client Profile Configuration Designer\Packages" folder.
The tool’s layout reference folder’s "Packages" subfolder, as pointed at in
Key: HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AH Setup Designer
The Windows SDK’s storage location for generic bootstrapper packages, as pointed at in
My pre-requisite files are MSI files. I have tried to copy them in the "Documents\Client Profile Configuration Designer\Packages" folder, in the location that is specified in the HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\AH Setup Designer\LayoutReference and HKLM\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\GenericBootstrapper\3.5\Path registry values and I can't make those to be shown in the prerequisites dialog
I can't figure out what else am I missing. Can anyone help? thanks in advance
