Support for the new CRM 2011 (5.0) release?
Sep 16 2010 at 9:59 PM
As we all know, CRM 2011 went into beta last week.
The question to the author of this tool, do you have any plans to port this for use on CRM 2011 ?
Just like when 4.0 was released, the plugin registration tool in the sdk is buggy and missing critical features that this tool filled in:
- command line support

We are planning to update this tool to match the version that ships in the sdk, and continue to use this to provide fixes to the bugs reported by customers without having to wait for the next version that ships in the sdk.
Can you please provide feedback on the version of the tool that is shipped in the sdk, that will help us improve the tool that is available in the sdk.
Also if you can list the bugs you see in the tool, we will get them fixed and ship it in the sdk as well as here.
The import/export functionality has been removed from the version in the sdk, since this functionlity is made available in the product itself. You can create a solution in the web application, and add the pluginassemblies, steps, serviceendpoints etc, and package them into a solution. The solution import/export has far more advanced features that what was originally available in this tool like dependency tracking, uninstalling a managed solution that reverts back the changes, and support for releasing multiple versions of the same solution etc.
Appreciate your feedback. Thanks.

I have created a plugin registration tool for Dynamics CRM 2011 that runs from a command line here: http://pluginregcrm2011.codeplex.com/
