Resource Page Description
Litware Training is a sample "mashup" app built using ASP.NET and the WCF REST Starter Kit Preview 2. It demonstrates how to build a Web 2.0 application, tapping into popular search, geographic information, and social networking APIs on the internet. It shows how to consume and expose RESTful services.

LitWare Training is a fictitious developer training company that takes registrations for technical training courses. LitWare Training’s main selling point is that it provides a rich, integrated user experience by incorporating multiple services that exist on the internet. These extra features tie in social networking with classmates, supplemental content (books and articles), and travel information during the training without requiring the user to navigate away from the LitWare Training site.

The website will demonstrate using the WCF REST Starter Kit Preview 2 to expose its own internal services to the public. The website will also read RSS and ATOM feeds, perform book searches from Amazon.com, and connect to the Facebook and Twitter services using the WCF REST Starter Kit Preview 2. In addition the website demonstrates using jQuery as an AJAX library for connecting to our internal REST Services, Live Search Services, and Virtual Earth services.
