Resource Page Description
A console application that converts a SQL request from a call to sp_executeSql to the unparametrised SQL, which can be used with the Database Tuning Advisor, or to show the Estimated Executation Plan

The first release is a .Net console application that converts one sp_executesql call at a time. It can be run in one of 2 modes:
  1. If a command line parameter is passed, then this is used as the source SQL, and the output is written to the console
  2. If no command line parameter is passed, then any text on the clipboard is used as the source SQL, and the output is written back to the clipboard

Future possible enhancements could be to take an input of a file of multiple sp_executesql calls, and output to a new file. The main question is what format the source file should take - one option would be a Trace XML file from SQL profiler; another would be a pure .sql file.

Let me know if you have some potential enhancements, and I'll add you to the resource co-ordinators
