This resource contains text files that list all of the deprecated types and methods in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
Note (3/30/2011): Added four new Microsoft Excel Comma Separated Values File (.csv) files. Two of the files, SPF14NewAndRemovedAPIs and SPS14NewAndRemovedAPIs, list the types and members that have been added or removed in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 since the releases of Windows SharePoint Services 3.0 and Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2010. The other two files, SPF14ObsoleteAPIs and SPS14ObsoleteAPIs, list the obsolete members of types that are not obsolete in Microsoft SharePoint Foundation 2010 and Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.
Note (5/7/2010): Updated to match final released (RTM) assemblies. New copies of SPS2010Deprecated.txt and SPS2010NewlyDeprecated.txt now list the types to which any obsolete methods belong.
This resource contains three text files.
SPS2010NewlyDeprecated.txt lists the types and methods that have been made obsolete in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 since the release of Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
SPS2010Deprecated.txt lists all of the types and methods that are obsolete in Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010.
OfficeSharePointServer2007Deprecated.txt lists all of the types and methods that are obsolete in Microsoft Office SharePoint Server 2007.
Obsolete types and methods will continue to work in your custom code and solutions, but they will generate compiler warnings, and you should update your code to use the new types and methods as indicated by the compiler warnings. The compiler warnings for each type and method are listed in the files in this resource.
Note: Types and methods in the Microsoft.SharePoint.Portal namespace are not included in these lists because, with a few exceptions, the entire namespace has been made obsolete.
